September and Johnny Appleseed Day

September flew by! We spent a lot of time getting to know each other and becoming a classroom family. 2D is full of kind friends who work together and respect each other. It has been so fun learning how to explore our classroom together and making new friends. To reflect on some of the fun we had during the month of September, here are some photos from our Johnny Appleseed Day. On Johnny Appleseed Day we traveled to each second grade class where we did a different apple activity. In our class we read the book "Ten Apples On Top" by Dr. Seuss, except we sang the entire book! We then did a funny activity where we got to leave with 10 apples balancing on our heads (Your child can explain). We also made some delicious apple sauce during our morning meeting. There are also some pictures of anchor charts that your child uses everyday for their writing and reading.
