I am in absolute shock that our year is coming to an end in less than a week! It seems like just yesterday these fresh faced second graders were entering my classroom, a little nervous and very excited for the year ahead of them. We have grown so close to eachother throughout this year. We've shared experiences, emotions, friendships, and ideas. To say that each seemingly ordinary day in this classroom with these students was pure magic still feels like an understatement. Although I think we are all ready for some sunshine and nice weather it does not make saying goodbye to this class any easier. The students are emotional and requiring some conversation about this but we've talked about how that is such a beautiful thing. How lucky are we that we were a classroom family for an entire year and have made such great friendships that moving into a summer vacation leaves us feeling a little down. That means the love we felt in our hearts was real and the friendships we've built are not defined by the walls of our classroom but will transform into something lasting! I will always be a cheerleader for these amazing learners and I am beyond thankful for having a front row seat to watch them grow, explore their curiosity, learn, and challenge themsevles this year. They are incredible people & have taught me far more than they'll ever know!
I wanted to remind you that our last big day of the year is on Tuesday for our trip to Stratham Hill Park. If you want to dismiss our child from the park that day please send in both persmission slips! If your child is walking back to school with us, they just need the permission slip to go to the park signed! If you are joining us for this fun day and you'd like to bring a snack for the class, please contact me! We will be spending a few hours at the park to play and enjoy eachother, eating lunch and then walking back! If you have any questions about this day, please don't hesitate to email or call me!
